Like many great herbalists before me, I came to herbalism out of necessity after my daughter and I were exposed to mold for five years in a water-damaged building, leading to a cascade of health challenges, including autism-related developmental issues and CIRS symptoms. 

As a Jamaican Maroon, Herbal Papa (Brione) carries forward over 300 years of ancestral herbal healing tradition, and in 2020, after meeting Atum Dre, a friend and protégé of Dr. Sebi, I began formally practicing herbalism that very day. My first herbal preparation was a licorice decoction created to help relieve my daughter’s chronic constipation, and over the past five years I have continued working with herbs while combining hands-on experience with generations of inherited Maroon healing knowledge. 

All information and recommendations I share are grounded in careful research, practical experience, and fact verification, and I am also recognized as one of the first practitioners to naturalize Black Walnut (Juglans nigra) in Jamaica.
